Our Environmental Education program offers hands-on learning experiences for all school types and grades, with a focus on our local, coastal ecosystems. Each program is customized per specific objectives requested by the visiting group. Why Outdoor Classroom? Each year, our students in grades 6-8, along with their chaperones and teachers, enjoy several days away from campus in "Outdoor Classrooms." This stage between childhood and adolescence is an excellent time for educational experience melded with class-bonding time. Our 6th grade class will travel to Burton 4H at Tybee Island, GA for an educational experience at the 4-H Center, an environmental education program administered by UGA Extension.
